Paris's Rive Droite districts:

Unique, popular and trendy

The Rive Droite is the district where the bobos and hipsters flock. Every month, new establishments open their doors, much to the delight of locals who love to spend their time on the terrace or at the bar.

Paris Montmartre

The Montmartre district: a village within the city

The Montmartre district is a village within the city. Popular with tourists, it has an authentically Parisian feel. Centuries-old delicatessens rub shoulders with trendy bars just a stone's throw from Pigalle and Rue des Martyrs. On the Butte, street vendors cohabit with street painters. We love this hyperactive atmosphere for a day.

Paris Canal St Martin

The Canal St Martin district: bohemian bourgeois and proud of it

The Canal Saint Martin district is the place to be for thirty-somethings. Prized for its calm in winter and bustling in summer, the banks of the Canal are the place to be for early evening in summer. Stores, bars and restaurants abound from République to Goncourt and Jaurès. You'll never be bored!

Quartier de l'Opéra: bon chic, bon genre

The Opéra district is both calm and lively. During the day, workers and strollers meet in the boutiques and restaurants. In the evening, the streets are less busy, but a few places remain lively, such as Rue Sainte-Anne, Place de l'Opéra and the Grands Boulevards. The district's privileged position in the center of the Rive Droite makes it an excellent place from which to plan visits throughout the capital.

The Marais and Bastille district: the historic heart of Paris

The Marais and Bastille districts are the heart of Paris. The entire city was partly built around these districts. Churches, monuments, alleyways: a stroll through these districts reveals the history of Paris. Popular with lovers of fashion and chic addresses, it's essential to be seen here for Parisian enthusiasts.

Paris's Rive Gauche districts:

Good-natured Parisian ambience

The Rive Gauche et ses quartiersand its neighborhoods are considerably less popular than the Right Bank. More intellectual, more chic, more select... the Rive Gauche in Paris is frequented by the beau monde. Here's a selection of trendy Rive Gauche bars suggested by the Paris Tourist Office.

The Saint Michel district

Bookshops and terraces where you can be seen

The Saint Michel district is a delightful mix of chic cafés with terraces, second-hand and new booksellers and galleries. It's not uncommon to come across professorial-looking men and elegantly dressed women. The legendary address? The Café de Flore, where the greatest intellectuals of the 20th century used to hang out.

The Montparnasse district: practical and friendly

The Montparnasse district unfolds around its tower and train station. Local shops and bars abound. The evening atmosphere is calm. Appreciated for its relaxed atmosphere, the district is conveniently located in the center of the Left Bank, with easy access to all the city's tourist attractions.

The Butte aux Cailles district: a timeless place

The Butte aux Cailles district is the village of the Left Bank. This hillside is home to many artists' studios, good places to eat and drink. Housing is scarce, so prices are high. Like its summit, which is 62 meters above sea level.
