Vacations in Paris, not far from the Champs-Elysées

What's the most beautiful avenue in Paris?
The Champs-Elysées, of course!
Planning a trip to Paris? Take the opportunity to find out more about the famous Champs-Elysées avenue, which has inspired many artists, including Joe Dassin, who sang: “In the sun, in the rain, at noon or at midnight. There's everything you want on the Champs-Elysées”.

Follow in the footsteps of history on a Parisian tour
The avenue des Champs-Elysées, also known as Champs-Elysées or simply Les Champs, takes its name from Greek mythology. In Greek mythology, the Champs-Elysées was the resting place of virtuous people after their death.
The idea of the Champs-Elysées germinated in 1616 in the mind of Marie de Médicis. However, the avenue was not named after her until 1698, 24 years after its construction. At the time, it was a royal garden (the Carré Ledoyen), hence the mythological reference. At the time, the garden was an extension of the Jardin des Tuileries. In 1833, it began to take on its present form, linking the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe.
If you're on vacation in Paris, or just passing through for a short while, don't miss the chance to explore the avenue, considered to be the most beautiful in the world.
