Holidays in Paris
Our team of the Hotel Provinces Opéra has prepared for you a selection of the best activities to do in Paris this summer. Looking for an original holiday? Follow us !
Under the paving stones, the beach…
Well known to the Parisians and the provincials, “Paris Plage” is the flagship event of the summer. From July 22 to August 13, sand dunes replace the cobblestones of the quays and the deck chairs are removed. Less known than its big brother, we recommend you “Summer of the canal”. Cruises brunch on the Ourcq, river shuttles for 1 or 2 euros, thematic courses on urban art, dance halls and ephemeral leisure port in Bobigny … the festivities extend as far as the Seine-Saint-Denis. “L’Été du Canal” will take place from July 8th to August 27th, so be ready!
Experience the rhythm of the city from your hotel Opéra district in Paris
Paris is a party, and we still have proof this summer. Our selection is a sample of everything you can find of the best. Do not hesitate to ask the staff of the Provinces Opéra hotel the latest news during your visit. Free and offering a varied programming, the festival Fnac Live is our favorite. The quality is always there, as proved by previous editions with Lilly Wood & the Pricks, Synapson, Louise Attaque or Christine and the Queens. On July 6th, 7th and 8th and until August 27th, the festival continues with the Bals Barges. On these free guinguettes blow a wind of nostalgia. We meet, we laugh and above all we dance to the rhythm of an orchestra. 500 to 600 people gather each evening. Your holidays in Paris promise beautiful meetings.
The rooftops of this summer
To live in Paris, it is essential to go to a rooftop, for dinner or a drink. Near from our hotel located in the Opéra district of Paris, our favorite rooftop is the well named Déli-cieux. Located on the roof of the Printemps Haussmann department store, it offers a breathtaking 360 ° view of the entire city. Your vacation photos in Paris are likely to make jealous.
More hip and more hidden, Le Perchoir is very popular among ” cools Parisians”. Ethnic fabrics on the sofas, white canvases and wine barrels for the decoration, this place makes you comfortable. The cocktail list should please you as much as conversations and impromptu meetings…
Quai Branly Summer Garden
The Musée du Quai Branly opens the doors of its intimate and relaxing garden, from June 26th to August 31st. Access is totally free and programming will please adults and toddlers. This year, the Musée du Quai Branly pays tribute to the Tiki and tattoos of the Marquesas Islands. From Paris to the Pacific, you will only have to cross the Seine from your hotel located in the Opera district in Paris. And if you like exhibitions, our selection for 2017 should please you …
